Question about iRobot Roomba i7+

I don't have permanent wifi at home, only the mobile hotspot. Can I still programme exclusion zones etc. in the app that the Roomba adheres to, or does it need a constant connection for this?

Roomba i7+ can be installed via hotspot (without a constant connection) and programmed with exclusion zones.
Roomba i7+ also adheres to programmed schedules without a constant connection.
Roomba cannot be started via hotspot while on the move. It requires a constant connection such as Wi-Fi.

I haven't tested with a firewall yet, but my understanding is that it needs Wi-Fi to programme the robot with the mobile device and to get updates. But the "programme" is on the robot, so it doesn't need constant Wi-Fi during cleaning.
