I can't decide whether to get the Silent Loop 280 or the Dark Rock Pro 3 (air cooler). Which of the coolers is quieter? Is intended for overclocking

Hello Alphator, in general, if there is space in the case and an air cooler and the air cooler does not collide with the graphics card, air cooling is the quieter and better option.
Since I'm not a fan of the BeQuiet cooler installation, I recommend Noctua coolers to everyone. If you have room in your case for this one Noctua NH-D15S (16.50cm) then I would recommend this one. The difference to the D15 is the asymmetric design of the cooler for better compatibility with graphics cards, the difference between 1 and 2 fans on the heatsink is also only one degree Celsius with normal airflow in the case.

@N-Systems, thanks for your answer, I'll look into the Noctua cooler.
@SwissRaid, thank you for your answer, would you estimate the water cooling as quieter, equally loud or louder than an air cooling?
I'm very sceptical about the noise level because I often read that you can hear whistling from the vibration of the pump and that the fans are loud. My goal is to keep my PC as quiet as possible.
At the moment I have the Alpenföhn Ben Nevis installed but since I have overclocked I am no longer so satisfied with the cooling performance and volume.
