I can't decide between DJI OSMO MOBILE 6 and ZHIYUN SMOOTH 5S. Does anyone have experience with both products. I have samsung galaxy S23 ultra. Thanks in advance for the information!
Hi, I had the same problem, but the big advantage with the ZHIYUN is that you are much more flexible and hold the weight better than with the Osmo. You still have a light on it. I have a Samsung s22 ultra and it works great, even with the associated apps.
It's a bit bigger and heavier than the Osmo, but it's minimal. However, it doesn't just fit in your jacket pocket.
It depends on the application. If you want something mobile to take with you then definitely DJI. If you want something stable and robust, then SMOOTH.
I also asked myself this question before buying the ZHIYUN SMOOTH 5S. It is a very high quality product, with good materials it gives a feeling of solidity when you hold it in your hands. In addition to the handle, which can be screwed to the side or bottom to extend the grip. You also have the option of adding an extra light (included) to the top of the gimbal (you can add coloured lenses) in addition to the light already built into the mount.
But unfortunately I can't help you as I haven't tried the DJI in the field yet. I've only tried it in the shop and I didn't like the handling, but that's very subjective.
It depends on what you want. The most compact selfie stick possible for reals and shorts? Then buy the Osmo 6, which is also very quick to assemble. If you want a really good gimbal for everything else, then go for the Smooth5S. I'm currently experimenting with the Osmo6. But I can't really get to grips with it. One example among many. It lacks a mounting option for wireless microphones. You either have to tinker or connect the mic to your smartphone. DJI supports its own mic that is connected directly without a cable, but that is extremely cumbersome. If you want to shoot video, you should definitely use the slightly larger and less handy Smooth 5S.
I share ODY's opinion. I also use the Smooth 5S and am very happy with it.
Just pay attention to the size of your mobile phone. I have the Iphone 13 Pro and it shouldn't be any bigger, otherwise you'll have restrictions in the axes or blind spots.
Yes, I had both, I would recommend dji if you want to make simple videos for private use (it is also more compact). I would take the Zhiyun if you want to make professional videos and this is your first gimbal to discover the gimbal world. The gimbal has fewer dead angles when it comes to the movement of the axes. (needs more space in the bag) I currently own the Zhiyun myself.
