I cannot establish a connection under Raspberry Pi 4 with Retropie. I see it but when it comes to connecting, no reaction on the controller, (LEDs remain in connection mode) no error on the Retropie connection dialogue. Does anyone have a tip or experience?
Can only share my experience with the Switch. The first time I tried it, I couldn't connect it either (also always constantly in blink mode). Even after all the updates and after reading through all the possible instructions, it wouldn't connect. The next day it just worked like that. Maybe it has start-up problems somehow, no idea ^^"
Hello, I wrote a manual a few years ago:
With the integrated Bluetooth, the SN-30Pro works integrated as an "Android Controller" without any problems. Many report a weak Bluetooth performance of the Raspberry Pi. However, I cannot confirm this, at best you would have to buy the 8Bitdo stick mentioned above.
You can find instructions for the stick here:
http://download.8bitdo.com/Manual...
You can try it out and decide on a USB Bluetooth stick later.
Bluetooth pairing:
(Controller must be switched off!)
Now go to "Options > Network Tools > Bluetooth".
Now switch your 8Bitdo controller to Android & pairing mode.
Android method (Input-D)
1. hold + press B+Start > LED 1 flashes
2. hold the Pair button (top side)
for 2sec > LED rotates from left to right
3. start immediately afterwards > Register and connect to Bluetooth Device.
!! Make sure,
that under the last point (important) "8Bitdo mapping hack" is switched off (OFF - New Firmware).
Now "Searching" appears (wait)
The controller should be recognised as "8Bitdo SN30 Pro". 4.
Select the controller and press ok. 5.
Now select "DisplayYesNo". 6.
Successfully registered...
Your controller has now been integrated into the system.
If it fails, simply start again from the beginning.
When the procedure is finished and the
controller is integrated,
press cancel to return to the EmulationStation menu.
then continue below with Configure Input...
Other 8Bitdo Controller Mode's
Windows method (Input-X)
Hold + press X+Start > LED 1,2 flashes
Hold the Pair button (top) for 2sec) > LED rotates from left to right
macOS method
Hold + press A+Start > LED 1,2,3 flashes
Hold the Pair button (top) for 2sec > LED rotates from left to right
Switch method
Hold + press X+Start > LED rotates from left to right
Hold the Pair button (top) for 2sec > LED stops and rotates from left to right
A small note about the 8Bitdo controller. To change the input of an already integrated 8Bitdo controller, please follow these combinations.
X-Input: press and hold "Select+up" for 3 sec.
D-Input: press and hold "Select+left" for 3 sec.
macOS: press and hold "Select+right" for 3 sec.
Hope this helps
greetings
