I can no longer access the data on the hard disk, can anyone help me? After almost three years of perfect operation, the hard disk is suddenly no longer displayed in File Explorer. The status "Uninitialized" is displayed in the Disk Manager, but when I try to initialise it, the Fatal Hardware Error message appears. No error message appears in Device Manager and all drivers seem to be up to date.
There won't be much you can do, because the enclosure contains an SSD. Theoretically, you could break open the enclosure and try to install the SSD in another enclosure. It is possible that the data is still intact, but the USB board in the enclosure is damaged, but the trick would only work if there really is an SSD in there that can be removed.
In general, the principle that a copy is not a copy applies to everything you accumulate yourself and the 3-2-1 backup concept must be implemented consistently, 3 copies on two different systems and one copy in a different location, so that you at least have the possibility to get back to the data if something goes wrong.
