I bought this SD card especially to use with my Canon Eos 80D. I thought it would make it possible to film for longer than 9 minutes. However, this was not the case. Also with this SD card, the video recording stops automatically after 9 minutes. I thought that with this write rate it must be possible. Does anyone have more experience with other cards? I don't want to change the video quality and think that it must be possible with FullHD.

Even in the YouTube age, those who can read instructions still have a clear advantage...So here's to another time:
SD cards are usually delivered formatted with FAT32. The maximum size of a file is 4 GByte. I assume you filmed with the new card without formatting it in the camera first.
With Full-HD (1920x1080) in MP4, the EOS 80D writes 60 MBit/sec to the card (Manual:Technical data). 60 Mbit x 60 sec x 9 minutes = 32'400 MBit : 8 : 1'024 = 3'955 GByte, and here the camera stopped filming each time because 4 GByte had been reached.
Now I reformatted the SD card in the camera and suddenly it took more than 9 minutes because it is now formatted as exFAT and can not only write much larger files, but can also be read by Win and Mac.
Next point, from page 303, Canon manual: "The maximum recording time for a movie is 29 min. 59 sec." and "A separate movie file is recorded for each movie recording. If the file size exceeds 4 GB, a new file is created for each additional 4 GB. 
a new file is created".
So you will never get a single file with 30 minutes of video. No matter how big your SD card is. Do the maths again: Full-HD resolution again, this time you probably filmed in MOV format, at 90 Mbit/sec. 90 Mbit x 60 sec x 30 min =162'000 MBit : 8 : 1'024 = 19,77 GByte : 4 GByte results in about 5 split files.

Now I know. I have formatted it several times and now it works. My tip now is to format it first after buying it and only then use it. Now there are 29 minutes in it. I found 5 files on the SD card. The 29 minutes were split into 5 files. The transition seems to be seamless. Does anyone know what format the card has to be formatted in to get a single file that is 29 minutes long?
