I bought this monitor for my son. He attached it via HDMI to his X box series S but he has no signal. Did we bought the wrong moniror or is there a way to fix this and get this combination going. Thank you very much for your kind assistance!

I have the monitor and operate it with several PCs via HDMI and Displayport, so the available signal should be selected automatically. If two signals are available, you can select the input as described by Sullivan92. This should also be the case for the X-Box.

The monitor has 2 HDMI connections. This may just be because you have plugged the monitor into the HDMI 2 port and the HDMI 1 channel is selected on the screen. 
The monitor has buttons at the bottom right (on the underside), one of which can be used to switch through the input channels.
