I bought this iPhone and received it today! But it's a gift and I can't unpack it! But now I was wondering if there is a SIM lock on it?

I think they are generally without SimLock (otherwise it would be in the name) and otherwise you can remove the locks very quickly at the provider and if nothing helps in case of emergency -> exchange.
