Question about Satechi USB-C Stand & Hub für Mac Mini

I bought the Satechi Hub with SSD bay and the Lexar NM790 with 2 TB and plugged it in. Unfortunately, my MiniMac M2Pro does not recognise the Lexar SSD. I also can't find it in the memory to format it if necessary. Question: is the NM 790 not compatible for some reason? What else could be wrong?

Helpful answer

The Lexar SSD is an NVMe. According to the description on the hub:
"Internal SSD enclosure fits M.2 SATA SSD drives only, does not work with NVMe. "

Good day
I have installed the SSD Intenso Top Performance 1000 GB, M.2 2280 SSD protocol in the Satechi USB-C Stand&Hub
AHCI (SATA), it works perfectly. (Item no. 12262495)
I have formatted the SSD in ExFAT format.
Please note: The internal SSD enclosure only fits M.2 SATA SSD drives and does not work with SSD protocol NVMe.

It is as said below. It needs an M.2 SATA SSD

For my part I put a werbatim it works very well and I formatted in Fat32 no worries.
You have to think of it as an external HDD, not as the Mac's own memory.

I have installed a Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 with 1 TB. Works perfectly. As far as I know, a maximum of 1 TB is supported.
