I bought the notebook new. It is insanely difficult to plug a USB into the USB ports. Is this normal (at first)?

Yes, it is a bit hard to insert the USB; it needs a bit of pressure. But it holds like a bomb! It gets a little easier with time. I find it normal. It also works perfectly.
