Question about LaCie Rugged Thunderbolt
I bought it, but I don't think I can take advantage of its "speed" and have spent unnecessary money. In my mac pro year 2011 goes slow. Someone can help me please? Am I doing something wrong? How does a thunderbolt have to work?

The hard drive has a speed of 130MB/s. Thunderbolt has a throughput of 10000Mb/s. The slowest part is the hard drive itself.
The Mac Pro 2011 has no Thunderbolt and no USB 3 but only USB 2 ports, so any external hard drive on the machine is very slow. The only alternative is to upgrade with a USB 3 PCI card, but it has to be a special card with Mac drivers for it to work. (Google: usb3 mac pro)
