I bought a 1m LED strip from Xiaomi because I only need 1m and 2m would be too much. Is it possible to buy only the connector separately and then connect it to the 1m stripe?

Only the 2m strip has a power supply. However, this can be cut off once at certain points with scissors.

Unfortunately no. The 1m strip is merely an extension without a power supply unit that can be connected to the 2m strip. Only the 2m strip has a connection for the power supply.
