Question about Hombli Smart Swiss Socket 2+1
I bought 3 Hombli plugs and I'm very happy with the possibilities they offer. Unfortunately they disconnect from my wifi every 2-3 days at random, and it's never the same socket. I don't have a local bridge. Anyone else having the same problem? Any advice? It could be the strength of the wifi, but it should only affect the sockets furthest away from my router. I've read that they have built-in batteries, could it be that they run on battery power when in OFF mode? I bought 3 Hombli smart sockets and am very happy with their possibilities. However, they tend to disconnect from the wifi every 2 to 3 days, and there is no apparent pattern to which one disconnects. I don't have a local bridge. Anyone else has the same issue? Any advice ? Could be the Wifi strength but then it should affect only the farthest from my router. I read they have built-in batteries, could it be that they run on battery when in OFF mode ? Could a bridge help?

I have been using 6 adapters for about 1.5 years and have not noticed any problems so far. The automation also runs reliably. I therefore suspect that it could actually be related to the WLAN strength. The randomness would also speak in favour of this. Do you have an adapter right next to your router? The signal should be strong there, if the adapter is also disconnecting there I would take a closer look at the router. Does it have statistics on the quality of the connection, devices, etc.?

We use a total of six Hombli bases at home and in the shop.
Using Amazon 'Alexa' and/or the app, we switch the lights and devices connected to them on and off.
We use fibre optic routers with mesh repeaters. In my opinion, the Wi-Fi coverage is well guaranteed.
Unfortunately, we are all too familiar with the disruption you described. But not every 2-3 days; for us it's more like every 2-3 months.
For no recognisable reason, individual Hombli sockets log out of the network and app when switched off.
I fix this either by repeatedly switching on/off directly on the base, which is not always successful, or by completely removing the base in question from the network or app and setting it up and pairing it again from scratch.
For music and radio, we use distributed WLAN wireless speakers, among other things.
Here, too, I sometimes experience short interruptions, both with individual devices and with all of them at the same time, as if there was no network available.
However, the wireless speaker interruptions have absolutely no influence on the functionality of the plinths or vice versa.
I can't give you any advice, but I can't rule out the possibility that this is still a phenomenon that nobody can really explain or solve.
Similar to a computer 'freezing' which then 'only' needs to be rebooted.
But if 'YES', then I would also be interested in the solution. 😊

I have 9 in the whole house, so it could indeed be the power of the Wifi that's to blame. There are applications on your mobile (phone) that give you the power of your network.
Don't hesitate to re-synthesise the plug on the Wifi network.
I doubt very much that there is a battery in this type of equipment.... it would be known and seen (access to the battery).
If the wifi is too weak, think about installing a wifi repeater...
