Question about Samsung LS49A950UIUXEN
I assume it is possible to connect two laptops / PCs at the same time, each via a USB-C port?
These alternative monitors have an integrated KVM switch and can connect two PCs at the same time, and also cost much less:

AOC AG493UCX (5120 x 1440 Pixels, 49 ")
This one would even have a webcam :) and also KVM function

No, unfortunately this is not possible. I would have been glad to know that beforehand. Only one USB-C connection supports video transmission. The second laptop/PC would have to be connected via HDMI/DP.
