Question about Lenovo ThinkVision M14

I am using a Lenovo T14 from work that only has one USB-C port. I am thinking of buying the ThinkVision M14 that has two USB-C ports and receives data and electricity over USB-C Ports. Are these two USB-C Ports just so you can have the monitor either left and right or can I actually put my laptop charging cable into the M14 and charge my laptop over the monitor? My laptop is being charged over the USB-C port and if I plug the M14 monitor into the USB-C port I would run out of battery...
