Question about Huawei P20 Pro

I am thinking of replacing my Samsung S8 with the Huawei p20 pro. Now I have read in various places that Wuawei and Android Auto do not work. But since I use the app diligently, this would be a no go for me. Can anyone confirm to me that Android Auto works fine with the P20 pro? Thanks in advance 😊

I have a Huawei P20Pro and occasionally use Android Auto.
In fact, I also had problems that, for example, Maps no longer opened in Android Auto.
The cause was "Google Play Services" which had to be reinstalled.
At the same time, other apps had similar problems or did not start at all.
The support of another app then helped me.
Since then, I am overjoyed with my P20Pro.
