Question about Panasonic Hc-V180eg-K
I am looking to find out if I need a charger for the battery or does it charge directly from the mains socket? And if so what kind of battery charger do I need?

There is no need for an extra charger for the battery: it charges when you plug the camera into the charger that is supplied as standard.
Be careful, the cord between the charger and the USB plug on the camera is short and the battery does not have a large capacity. I therefore leave it connected to the mains when possible when shooting (in Zoom for example)
