Question about StarTech DisplayPort to HDMI - 4K

I am interested in this product, but I have some questions: If I connect the male side to the displayport of my graphics card and the female side to my monitor with a 4k HDMI cable, will it work? And will my 4k UHD 60hz display work properly if I connect it to my pc as requested earlier?
