Question about Philips Hue White Ambiance BT

I am interested in the Hue lamps for my existing ceiling lamp in the bedroom, especially because of the light temperatures and the wake-up function. But I still have a few question marks about the light switch. I don't really want to install a "smart centre", but rather continue to use the existing switch in the bedroom. It actually only switches the power on/off to the ceiling lamp. How does Hue react to power being switched off and on again? - Does the light come back on? -> at which settings? - Do programmed wake-up functions remain? - is the app a real alternative or will you need the Hue switches sooner or later (lock offer)? Is there anything else to note?

Helpful answer

The switch-on behaviour of the current generation of Hue lamps can be defined in the app.
Options are a default or restoring the state "before the power failure". If the lamp is switched on using a conventional switch, this is the same as a power failure for the lamp....

The Hue app and conventional light switches are fully sufficient, as the stored default value is recalled when switched on without any lamp being damaged. The Ambient value set by default corresponds to my feeling of a pleasant frosted light bulb of 40 watts.
