I am interested in buying this product. However, many reviews say that it tends to get hot. Why is this? Is this normal? Does this affect the life and quality of the device?

I have had several such adapters in our office for 4-5 months and none of them have failed. It is normal that it heats up because it can charge the machine at the same time.
