You don't have to squeeze anything in, 40.6cm GPUs fit in the case. It even says "all current gen NVIDIA and AMD GPUs". So it fits.

The specifications state:
GPU Clearance with HDD Cage: 294mm
GPU Clearance without HDD Cage: 406.2mm

You simply cannot place a hard disk in this position. But there is enough space for it :-)
