Question about Microsoft Modern

I already have a fingerprint reader on the touchpad of my laptop. Does this work in co-existence with the fingerprint reader on the Microsoft keyboard? On the one hand, I want to use the laptop standalone and then log in with the fingerprint reader on the touchpad, or on the other hand, I want to use it on a docking station with two monitors, in which case the laptop remains closed. In this case, of course, I don't want to have to open the laptop every time or enter the password, but I want to be able to use the fingerprint reader on the external keyboard. The laptop is an ASUS Vivobook S15 with Windows 10, "ELAN WBF Fingerprint Sensor" is entered in the device manager.
