How good or even is the illumination (keyword IPS glow, backlight bleed) compared to other IPS displays in this price range?

Helpful answer

I calibrated my monitor after buying it and am very satisfied with the display quality. Subjectively, I do not notice any irregularities in the illumination.

Of course, this is not an easy question to answer, as you don't usually have a variety of monitors at your disposal. I use an HP Envy 32 for office work, for which it is very well suited. I use the ASUS on a gaming computer with a very fast graphics card. This monitor does an excellent job, is extremely sharp, glare-free and fast. In terms of picture, it's certainly one of the best currently available in this price range. I also bought it because it outperformed much more expensive monitors in two different tests. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. It's a pity that ASUS doesn't succeed in making the design of its monitors appealing.

I think the production quality has improved, I've had mine since the beginning of the year and so far no problems. The only minus point is a backgound bleed in the lower right corner. I think this is due to the white LED that indicates if the monitor is on.

hi!

i bought the monitor recently and got a "good" one. but i also checked the internet and read that a lot of people had to struggle with bleeding or that it was very extreme. i use the monitor for gaming and photo editing and am really thrilled with the quality and glad that i got a really good one.

IPS glow and bleeding are unfortunately part and parcel of IPS monitors. some have it more, others less...I haven't read of any monitor that doesn't have it. you just have to be a bit lucky.
