How does the hardware keyboard feel when typing? Isn't there a bit of weight pushing down through the display at the front?

No, the weight of the Priv is mainly in the main body. On the contrary, it feels rather "foot-heavy" when the screen is closed and very balanced when the screen is open. I often use the device open even when I'm not writing.
Not at all. Blackberry stays true to the good keyboard. Best phone I've bought in a long time.
