If the GoPro stops recording after a certain time, there is a problem. Actually, the GoPro should record in one piece. And not just the 7, but since the Hero 3! Here you can read what the problem could be!
I have a 256GB card - freshly formatted in the GoPro - my GoPro 7 Black keeps recording in a single file until the battery is empty (setting: 1440/60/L
I have the same problem with my GoPro Hero 6 black. I noticed that the length of the saved clips varies depending on the video resolution setting. For example, if I set Full HD 60fps, the video (MP4) on the memory card will be a maximum of 4GB. The GoPro then automatically creates a new video or a new MP4 file on the memory card. So for longer videos, it just makes several segments (MP4 files) by itself without interrupting the recording. I wonder if it is possible for the GoPro to record longer videos in one piece, i.e. not create several MP4 files on the micro SD card? If not, what freeware can I use to easily join the videos together again? GoPro offers the freeware GoPro Quick, which can only create videos of up to 60 seconds. Unfortunately, they do not offer any support at all....
