Question about Manfrotto 055XPRO3 Tripod with 3 segments
How do I get my EOS 550D onto this tripod? It doesn't say anything about the thread not being compatible with a DSLR camera?
You need a tripod head
A DSLR usually has a 1/4 inch thread. This tripod has a 3/8 inch screw, which is slightly larger. You therefore need a corresponding tripod head to mount your camera. A tripod head is recommended in any case because otherwise you will not be able to adjust your camera (tilt, swivel, rotate, etc.).
