Hello Martin,

When you physically disconnect the keyboard from the tablet, it remains connected and usable in "wireless" mode. However, in all cases Bluetooth is used, whether it is placed on the magnetic connection or removed from the magnetic connection, as the latter is mainly used to charge the accessory.

To disconnect the keyboard and use it in tablet mode easily, you need to hold down the ESC key at the top left of the keyboard for 5 seconds.
