How complicated is it to install Google services here? Do important apps like Twint and Postfinance work? The device looks really cool!
I've been using the Huawei Mate 40 pro without Google services for a year now and I'm super satisfied. I wanted to be free of Google and try something new. All the apps that are important to me work. Twint too. I don't know about Postfinance, I use UBS.
Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to install Google services since the Mate 40 Pro. The P40 series was the last one where this was still possible. There are various apps in which you can use GMS apps, for example Gspace and VMOS. However, these are more of a stopgap solution, as they are slow and only partially push messages.
In general, push messages are limited, all meta apps (ex. Facebook) work with push, most others do not. Apps that use Google Maps, such as Uber, do not work, or only in VMOS or Gspace. Unfortunately, Google Pay does not work either.

Hey, I wouldn't tinker with it afterwards, the system is first class as it is. I have the Mate 40pro and Twint works for me. I don't have Postfinance, but you can start the Postfinance app. Otherwise, I personally have no problem doing without google services. All the apps that are supposed to run work for me. And if some of them don't work, that's not because of Huawei but because of the app developers who are too lazy to adapt them.
I am a satisfied p40 pro user, the only thing I miss is the lack of the swipe function with SBB/Fairtiq, it just doesn't work because of the missing connection to Google Geolocation, I buy the tickets in the SBB app. NEON Bank and Twint, Twitter, Whatsapp............ works perfectly!
