Question about Bose Portable Home Speaker

I don't quite understand what is meant by 'tones', but the option 'Voice command' can be deactivated in the app under: Settings/ Voice commands can be deactivated.

Unfortunately, you cannot deactivate the tones and voice prompts on the speaker, only on the mobile phone.
