Question about Sonos Playbase

In my opinion, this is not possible! Toslink is an optical cable, so it is only suitable for digital signals. Record players give an analogue signal and need a phono amplifier which then goes to an RCA input for amplification. This unit has no analogue inputs so you can't use a turntable with it.

That would work. Unfortunately, the Playbase only has one input and as soon as a signal comes in, the input switches to the signal. (For example, while you are playing Spotify from your mobile phone and a signal comes in on the optical input of the Playbase, it automatically switches to the optical input).
