Airplay 2, Wi-Fi
Hi, I would like to use the soundbar + two speakers as music speakers in my small practice room. Music is played via Mac/ Spotify. My Mac does not have an optical connection. How would I proceed in this case or what additional hardware would I need? Or can the whole thing be operated via WLAN?
Hi Maria
Sure, download the Sonos app and get started via WLAN. You only really need Optical if the whole thing is for the TV.
Soundbar is enough, you don't need any additional speakers, in my opinion. Or make a stereo pair from the ONE, that's enough, Sonos offer, as I see it, the best music enjoyment for years. Then Teufel straight away 😀

It's very simple:
Create a group with all speakers in the Sonos app.
The group can then be selected as a speaker on the Mac.
You don't need a cable for this. But all devices must be in the same WLAN.
In addition to schillinger's AW, I can recommend connecting the Ray to an ethernet cable. This speaker will then set up its own wifi network ONLY for intercommunication between the sonos devices. The advantage: your own wifi is not additionally burdened and the synchronisation between the speakers is optimal.
Hello, sorry I can't answer your question, I returned the article because it was too complex to configure.
Good luck, Jacques
