Question about Shelly Plus Plug S
Hi. I have a Shelly flood detector that I use with the Shelly app. I would like to stablish a safety system in which, if the flood detector is set off, the plug to my aquarium filter will be automatically turned off. Is it possible to set such an automated action with this plug using the Shelly app? Thank you for your help
Yes, that should be possible, I did something similar. Different sensor but the Plug S switched on automatically.
Yes, you can, with a "scene" in the app. I've done something similar for myself.
You can also simply work with scenes. Any layman can do that.

I have not yet done any "actions" with the PlusPlug S myself.
But it should work like other Shelly devices.

I have never done that, but it should not be a problem.
In the tabs of your flood detector you should have one called "Actions".
From there you create a new action with its name and all the other thing.
There should be a step where you have to provide the type of event occuring and the type of action the execute. There you should be able to add your Shelly Plug.
(I am supposing that the two devices are in the same Wifi and in the same application)

I use the Shelly Plus Plug S together with Home Assistant. This allows you to control and automate almost everything without any data being stored in the cloud.
i don't know what's possible in the shelly app. i flashed the plug in TASMOTA directly when it arrived. and with tasmota all these automations are possible without probelm, without having to go through a CLOUD owned by the manufacturer. as long as you have a small router, nas or raspberrypi running with a few utilities on it, for your use case mosquitto and node-red for example. everything is done in the afternoon using youtube tutorials and opens up 1000 other possibilities, i recommend the Plus Plug S as it is easy to flash.
