Question about RØDE DS1 Microphone Stand
Hi guys, I can't screw the stand more than 2-3 mm into the mounting plate. Have you had the same problem? What can I do about it? Is this a production defect?
I had exactly the same problem: I bought the DS1 yesterday and could only screw the rod into the base half a turn. I also had RUST on the underside of the base! I have just registered the guarantee.
I haven't had any problems, so it sounds like damage to the thread. However, it doesn't necessarily have to be the stand, it could also be the thread in the counterpart that is damaged.
