Hi all Can I use it to connect another monitor to my notebook and expand the displays? This should actually work, as it is effectively an "external" graphics card, shouldn't it?

Yes, that should fit. I have three of them on my tower and can use all 4 of my monitors this way.

Yes, it works perfectly. I work with laptop screen and separate large monitor.
