Question about Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd gene

Hi all I would finally like to be able to connect at least one microphone to my PC and use it (been looking for a long time)..I am a neanderthal when it comes to how to connect something and what I need to do it..my question would be ...is this PART finally the end of my search....hilfeeee
