Yep, I wanted to turn off the childish sparkle too, and I gave up, so now I have funfairs in the case. To be able to influence the RGB light in any way, you need to install the Asus Ammo Crate (or something) software. Big, takes minutes to install (on an SDD) and is overloaded with junk that no one over 14 needs. Just Asus, top hardware, horrible software(s). When I finally managed to set a constant dark red for the RGB part, I uninstalled the Ammo Crate as a test and cheered at first: Even after 2 or 3 reboots, it stayed that way. Until a few days later (I can't assign a specific event to it) it became colourful again. I have now learned to ignore it, because I won't install this disaster software a second time. For me, the card does not live up to the promise of the ASUS name, because under load it also squeals and whimpers like a litter of piglets.
