Hello There are different specifications. If I connect a power supply unit to this device, will it charge the connected laptop?

Yes, as long as it is a USB-C power supply and delivers enough power for the connected device via PowerDelivery (PD). For notebooks, it should be 60W or more to be on the safe side.
