Hello I have owned the DeLonghi Pa Specialista for a few months now, and I am basically satisfied with the machine. However, after several coffee beans, I still could not produce the perfect espresso. Somehow the pressure never rises above the "pre-infusion range", so there is no crema. I always set the grinder to the finest setting anyway, everything else only has a worse effect. Does anyone have any tips on what I need to adjust or change to achieve a successful result? Thanks in advance!

to the grinder. Here it is important that the setting is made while (!) the grinder is running. Otherwise you just move the regulator back and forth without any effect.

Hello everyone, I have had the machine for half a year and have already sent it in because of the pressure. It works now, but what still doesn't work is the amount of ground coffee in the portafilter. There are always 2 portions instead of one. The setting is 1 portion. Can someone please help me? Many thanks and LG Barbara

I'll answer you again right here in case you don't see the other answers:

I also did the "too much filling" thing for 2-3 months. Then I sent the machine in because the portafilter was no longer leak-proof (some seal must have broken). Filling a little more than the dash is OK, but if it takes force to hook the portafilter in, then it's definitely too much in the long run.

It is also important to use fresh beans. I have set the grind to 1. With the fill quantity up to the dash, I just manage to get into the "optimal zone". The tip about rinsing is also good, that definitely helps. There are also people who say that the grind is still too coarse even at 1.
