Hello, How are the fans powered? By USB-3, USB-C? My USB-C port is already used for the screen. Is it possible to power it with an independent transformer?

It is powered by standard USB. The female input on the device is a mini-USB. A mini-USB > standard USB cable is supplied with the device. So you can easily use a simple USB charger to which you plug the cable.
