is it possible to order a replacement cable for this Monitor? I have the MOnitor but the cable isn't working. I ordered a standard USB-USB C cable, but it's also not working. The error message I get is "No support for DP Alt Mode" (I have an HP Elitebook). Do you have in stock the original replacement cables of the ASUS Monitor? Thank you
I will only give an answer for Plug and Play after trial and error ;-)
Elite Book x360 (with USB 3.1, and current drivers, i.e. not older than 6 years) + correct cable: Yes
MacBook Pro from 2015: maybe... or if you use Linux or Windows 10 as OS: Yes
If the HP Elite Book has an interface with USB 3.1 or newer (pretty much all Elite Books of the last 5 years) and an operating system with ALT DP per USB support (e.g. Win 10 or newer, current Linux distro) it works.
With the MacBook Pro from 2015 it depends on what operating system is running on it, with Windows 10 or Linux rather yes, but with MacOS perhaps rather no (There are reports on the internet that MacOS does not support Alternate Displayport for USB - does anyone know the answer to this?)
