Hello. This product has (EU) at the end of the name, there is a similar product without EU. What does this EU in the name mean?

It's the same as the Swiss version, without the 3-year Swiss Garanty

Any other ideas? It is a zoom lens so no electrical connection. It is cheaper that the non EU version but I cannot see why.
