Question about Dell UltraSharp U2724DE
Hello, my concern is the connection. I'm thinking of buying a Dell UltraSharp U2724DE. I have a KVM switch. This device only has S-VGA inputs and two USB inputs for mouse and keyboard. My current screen is therefore connected with a male-to-male S-VGA cable between the switch and the screen. For this Dell, I understand that I need to have a male S-VGA cable, from the KVM switch, which will connect to the Dell, with Display Port or HDMI... Which do you recommend, Display Port or HDMI? Thanks
In fact, among the plethora of cables, I haven't found one that allows you to use the male S-VGA output of the KVM, but it could be the S-VGA output of my laptop, yes, it's a bit old-fashioned, to get to this Dell with what? I couldn't find any cable that would do the job in that direction.
Not to mention the cables' maximum 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, compared with the screen's 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. How would that work?

Thank you for your answer. However, I need my switch to connect 6 desktops/laptops.
To connect this Dell to it, I have to start from the KVM switch with an S-VGA male cable, and go to the Dell: here, is it better to go to the Display Port or HDMI...? Which would play better I think between Display Port or HDMI... without going to Thunderbolt...? ? Thanks

You no longer need a KVM switch. The monitor has this integrated.
My work laptop and my Mac Mini are connected to the monitor. A USB dongle for the mouse and keyboard allows me to operate both devices, and there is a joystick on the monitor where you can switch between the PCs.
