I also connected mine via Bluetooth a long time ago and no longer use the dongle.

Simply connect Bluetooth directly. The connection is just as stable for me, I use the mouse on two different devices without any problems, thanks to the different connections that the mouse remembers (via the button on the bottom of the mouse).
