Yes, there is a pressurised filter ("crema perfetta") that you can use if you buy pre-ground coffee, and two classic filters (single & double).
For best results, you need a good coffee grinder (normally more expensive than the machine) and use the classic filter.

No, it doesn't have a filter or display. But with a little practice, you can make very good coffee with the Gaggia, even without a lot of bells and whistles. I bought the Sage SCG820 grinder to go with it. Highly recommended. Have fun with it
