Hello, is the approximate life of the built-in battery known? And if the battery fails unexpectedly, can the stored data still be read out?
Unfortunately, I could not find any precise information on the service life. All available documents, including instructions, are listed below: https://www.kingston.com/de.... As far as I can tell from this information, a rechargeable battery should be included, which is charged when the device is connected via USB. The battery should supply the keypad with power, and unlocking should be done without the involvement of the host PC. This should prevent the data from being read out by external software and the like. I could therefore imagine that such a defect could make access to the data impossible. However, this can also happen with other defects, so it would definitely be good to have additional backups.
