Question about Solis Barista Gran Gusto 1014

This espresso machine is not designed for backwashing with a blind filter. Instead, we recommend running water over the empty portafilter for 20 seconds before every cup of coffee and unscrewing the "shower filter" once a month and cleaning/degreasing it thoroughly.

I'm not that familiar with it, but the so-called blind sieve is missing, which according to internet research would be a prerequisite, and I haven't read anything in the operating instructions either.
