Hello I have a Lenovo Ideapad flex 5 14iil05. I want to use the docking station to operate 2 screens via HDMI (Full HD). My USB-C port has the following specifications:
-Supports data transfer rates of up to 5 Gbit/s for USB 3.1 Gen 1.
-Output power of up to 20 V and 5 A.
Will this work with my USB-C port or does it have to be a Thunderbolt? What would be an easy alternative to connect 2 monitors via HDMI. My Lenovo also has an HDMI 1.4b port.

Answer

I can't give a 100% answer. I think the image transfer would work, but not the charging function, because if I saw it correctly, this laptop is still equipped with a normal charging port. Maybe someone else could confirm the former.
