YI 360 VR Camera
30p, 4K, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
Hello, I am an absolute amateur in this field. I own an Oculus Quest 2 and am looking for an affordable VR camera or 360° to mainly make videos in private. Just everyday use. I would like to play back these recordings in VR on the Oculus Quest 2, i.e. to experience moments from different angles again and again. Is that possible with the YI 360 VR camera? Can I watch the VR videos on YouTubeVR and there privately, not accessible to the public? As I said, the VR feature is important to me, not the fact that I'm looking at a "2D" image with the Oculus Quest 2. Again, I like to be inside the image or video :D. I'm sorry if I'm sometimes misleading and use the wrong terminology. As I said, I am an absolute newby in this field. Greetings Sven
A friendly "hello", if you assume that you can view yourself virtually in an artificially created 3D space in an x- arbitrary position from an x- arbitrary point, then it is not feasible with a 360 degree camera.
Yes, that certainly works. I recommend the DeoVR player on the Quest. However, the images and videos from an affordable 360 camera will probably not be stereoscopic, i.e. there will then be no 3D effect (but it may also be that they can create this with software tricks, I only know it from the Cardboard Camera app on Android, with which, by the way, you can also try this out without buying a camera).
Should actually work via Youtube. There are certainly offline options/video players that can do this. Unfortunately, I've never tried it with a VR headset.
However, I would recommend buying a camera with a higher resolution. In my opinion, the resolution of this camera is not high enough.
