Hello, how long does the pressure build-up phase take between making an espresso and switching to steam for the cappuccino - or to put it another way: if I have left the espresso out and switch to steam, how long does the machine need to provide the higher pressure for milk foaming?
I rarely use this function
But I would estimate about one minute.
For me 1min30sec.
For me 00:01:24, almost one and a half minutes.

for me the changeover takes about 1 minute, but since I only drink espresso and only occasionally need the milk frother, the Steel Uno is perfect for me, if you need it a lot, I would recommend the Steel Duo.
It took me 1 min 23 sec this morning (from 93° to 165°).
There is more of a problem the other way round - when you switch from steam back to the temperature for making espresso. Here I would clearly recommend the Duo (independent steam cycle)
Hello, I also estimate the duration at one minute. Conversely, of course, it takes much longer, i.e. after heating up for the steam to cool down again for preparing espresso.
