Question about Acer Docking station USB Type-C D501

Hello everyone I need a suitable docking station for my laptop (Acer Aspire Spin 14). It is important to me that I can start the laptop via the docking station and leave it closed. It needs the standard interfaces USB, Ethernet and HDMI or DisplayPort for an external monitor. Can I use the docking station shown above or do I need to switch to another product? What do you recommend? Thank you very much in advance for your efforts Silvan

Hello Silvan, unfortunately, the docking station cannot switch a device on or off. However, you can use your laptop when the lid closed.

Regarding the product, I can say it serves me reliably without any major issues, and I am using two external monitors, a keyboard, a mouse while connected via Ethernet. The only annoying thing that happens, but rarely though, is that the monitors do not receive the signal when plugging my laptop again after being unplugged for a short amount of time (talking about 30 min - 1 hr span here). But even so, it is still the best product out there that works well enough with two external monitors and my laptop. Speaking of which, I strongly recommend to check for compatibility before buying decision.
